The Plants & Us exhibition

The exhibition is housed at the John Innes Centre and is aimed at non-scientists and school pupils. It is a celebration in words and pictures of the vital role that plants have played in shaping our world and safeguarding our future.

The conference centre at JIC is the ideal venue for this exhibition. Large, modern and airy, it is already host to a number of prestigious events, both scientific and non-scientific. By staging the exhibition here, thousands of people can enjoy it and may even be inspired to arrange to visit other, more science-oriented departments of JIC.

The exhibition is also currently exhibited at Gressenhall Rural Life Museum, Norfolk and St Stephens Gate Medical Practice, Norwich.

During 2007 it was at the Forum, Norwich, at the Norfolk Showground for Spring Fling, and the Green Quay Exhibition Centre, Kings Lynn.

The exhibition can be adapted to suit a range of venues and we can either provide the files for your own use or we can help with reproduction if required. Voting slips can be provided so that you can assess what your visitors think is the plant that has most changed our world, or you can have access to this website closeby for visitors to vote online.
