Inspiring a new generation of plant scientists
Because the main purpose of the exhibition is to attract more young people to plant science, school education packs will be produced, one for primary schools and one for secondary schools, which will include exciting competitions and prizes. A 10-part feature slot on BBC’s ‘Blue Peter’ is planned to precede the documentary and the winners of the schools’ competitions will be announced on air. Schools will also be encouraged to participate in the documentary’s voting system and ‘The Children’s Choice’ will be included as part of the exhibition.
